We’re Kifeca – a cooperative of 320 smallholder farmers who grow world-class vanilla, cocoa, and coffee beside the Kifeca Forest.

About us
We didn’t start with crops.
We started with a cause.
Our story begins with a forest.
Our neighbouring forest was disappearing, and we said “Not on our watch.” So we organized. We protected. And then we planted - not just trees, but livelihoods.
Now we grow agroforestry-style: trees, crops, and biodiversity in beautiful harmony.
We’ve got vanilla wrapped around banana stems, cocoa shaded by native trees, and coffee catching morning sun beside jackfruit and avocado trees.
And we don’t stop there.
We’ve built a full training system with the support of JESE and Forests of the World. At the top are our Trainers of Trainers (ToTs). On the ground, our Community-Based Trainers (CBTs) work directly with members - supporting them on agroforestry, organic standards, problem-solving, and pre- and post-harvest handling.
We’ve introduced production leaders and training committees who guide members on sound practices. It’s how we ensure quality, season after season.

Grown in regenerative agroforestry systems and full of flavor.
We’re investing in quality - with a new fermentation station underway to unlock the full potential of our cocoa. The goal? To produce some of the best specialty cocoabeans in Uganda.

Organic isn’t just a label - it’s a goal. Over 150 farmers are already certified, and we’re on track to certify the entire cooperative within the year.
